The fine print, kept short
Buying, renewing, and cancelling
In effect since September 10, 2026. Marvel Mirror LLC d/b/a Sexton App · 2501 Chatham Rd #5694, Springfield, IL 62704 [email protected] · 217-288-3351
What it costs
The $750 annual base is required and includes one cemetery. Your organization must have a current cemetery license at the $750 annual base rate to purchase or renew additional cemetery licenses at $50 a year for each additional cemetery owned by the same organization. The $50 rate is not a standalone plan. We approve and issue a separate license key for each cemetery, and each cemetery keeps separate local records.
This offer covers the same two computers shared across your organization's cemeteries — normally the office machine and one at home. Adding a cemetery does not add computers. Everyone in the office may use it; there is no charge per person. Updates and support are included. There is no setup fee, no mapping charge, and no fee to bring in your existing records.
Existing paid licenses keep their agreed entitlements and accepted terms. This offer does not retroactively combine separately purchased licenses into a shared computer allowance.
How you pay
By card, through QuickBooks' own checkout. The card details are entered on QuickBooks' page, not ours — we never see or store your card number.
The card checkout on our pricing page is for one cemetery at $750 a year.
By invoice and check, which is how most cemetery boards pay. Ask and we will send one.
For more than one cemetery, request an invoice. Before you pay, it will name your organization and each cemetery, list each cemetery's annual charge and individual service dates, and state that this offer covers the same two shared computers.
Your first purchase is a one-time payment. It does not enroll you in automatic payment, and we do not charge you again unless you authorize it.
How renewal works
A license runs one year from the day we issue it.
Each cemetery has its own term and renewal status.
It does not renew by itself. We can send an annual renewal invoice for you to pay yourself. Automatic payment is optional and starts only after you separately authorize it through QuickBooks. Receiving an invoice or making a one-time purchase does not enroll you in automatic payment. Automatic payment follows the amount and schedule you authorize in QuickBooks.
If you do turn on automatic payment, you can turn it off at any time, in QuickBooks or by telling us. Turning it off does not cancel your license; it only means the next year is not charged automatically.
We may change the price of a future year. If we do, we will tell you at least 60 days before your renewal date. A price change never affects a year you have already paid for, and you can decline it by not renewing.
Adding, removing, or transferring a cemetery
Each paid license, cancellation, or refund applies to the cemetery it covers. Cancelling, refunding, or letting one cemetery's license expire does not end another cemetery's valid paid license. Adding, removing, or transferring a cemetery does not by itself change another cemetery's paid term, accepted terms, or agreed computer allowance. Each license keeps its own service dates and renewal status.
Adding a cemetery. An eligible additional cemetery costs $50 for its own full annual term from the day we issue its license. It has its own service dates and renewal date. An addition during the year is not prorated to the base cemetery's renewal date.
Changing the base cemetery. If the $750 base cemetery is cancelled, refunded, transferred out of the organization, or not renewed, one retained cemetery becomes the organization's $750 annual base at renewal. The base designation moves; the $750 annual requirement continues. Before any further $50 purchase or renewal, a $750 base term must be in effect.
Existing paid licenses continue for their own remaining terms, even if the former base has ended. Moving the base does not charge a midterm difference or authorize an automatic payment. Any resulting increase in the annual rate for an existing cemetery license applies only to a future renewal, with at least 60 days' notice before that cemetery's renewal date. It never changes a term already paid for; you may decline it by not renewing.
For an addition, removal, or transfer, contact us. Before any new or renewal payment, we will confirm your organization's eligibility for the offer, the replacement base if needed, each cemetery's charges and service dates, and shared-computer arrangements in writing. Any transition must meet both the current $750 base requirement for further $50 purchases or renewals and the paid-term and notice protections above.
If a successor takes over the whole of a cemetery's operations, its existing license continues without our consent or reissue under EULA §19. Tell us so we can update the name and billing email on the license record. Contact us about any change of computers. Other assignments require our written consent.
What happens as the date approaches
30 days before, the Software starts telling you in the app that renewal is due.
For 30 days after the expiry date, the Software keeps working normally, so a renewal waiting on the next board meeting changes nothing.
After that, the Software stops opening the register until the license is renewed. Exporting every record you have stays available on that same screen, renewed or lapsed. Your records are on your own computer and they remain yours either way.
Refunds
Your purchase date is the day you have both paid us and been issued your license — whichever of those two happens second. If you pay before we issue your license, that is the day we issue it. If we issue your license before your payment reaches us, it is the day your payment reaches us, however long that takes. There is no cap on it: a board that pays on a warrant cycle is not on a clock it did not set.
Within 30 days of your purchase date, tell us the Software is not right for you and we will refund it in full. No conditions, and no explanation is required. A refunded term ends — you get the whole year back, so the year stops. Your records stay yours and the export screen stays reachable.
After 30 days, the year you have paid for is not refundable in part.
Cancelling
Tell us any time, by email or phone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the year you have already paid for — you keep using the Software until then. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
If you had automatic payment turned on, cancelling also turns that off.
The trial
The trial runs 14 days.
Nothing is charged at the end of it, and no payment method is taken to start it. If you want to continue, you pay and we convert your license.
Unlike a paid license, a trial has no 30-day grace period: when the 14 days are up, the Software stops opening the register that day. The export stays available, so anything entered during the trial can be taken back out.
