The fine print, kept short

Accessibility

In effect since September 9, 2026. Marvel Mirror LLC d/b/a Sexton App · [email protected] · 217-288-3351

The short version

The Sexton App software is meant to be usable by whoever keeps the records, on whatever computer the association already owns.

We aim at WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this website and for the desktop software. We are not fully there. What works and what does not are set out below.

This notice reflects our source review and earlier internal checks. It is not an independent audit or a complete assessment of accessibility.

Features and current limits

On this website

  • Some pages provide a Skip to content link. The Features page and Guides pages do not yet provide one.
  • Some text on tinted backgrounds and keyboard focus indicators in the dark header have contrast limitations.
  • Reduced-motion settings shorten the website's transitions.
  • The website's screenshots and portrait have text alternatives, and its pages declare English as their language.
  • Analytics settings is available from website footers and the demonstration's top strip. These controls can be operated with the keyboard.

In the desktop software

  • The app uses standard buttons and form fields alongside custom map interactions. Some actions, including opening records from Plot owners and Interments rows, currently require a mouse.
  • Reduced-motion settings shorten many interface transitions; some remain.
  • When the map has focus, the arrow keys pan, + and - zoom, and 0 fits the cemetery to the window. To open a plot, type a name in the search field; the map lists what matched, and choosing an entry opens that record.

What does not work yet

The desktop software does not follow your operating system's text-size setting. If you set your computer to show larger text, the application's text stays the same size.

If the text is too small to work with, write to us. On Windows and macOS a display-scaling change enlarges the whole application.

The plot map cannot be browsed square by square with the keyboard. Searching for a grave and opening it works. Moving across the map to see what is free near a particular spot does not: a single section can hold hundreds of squares. The Plot owners and Interments screens list records, but opening their rows currently requires a mouse.

If something does not work for you

Write to [email protected] or call 217-288-3351. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. We will reply within five business days, and if there is a way to get you the information in the meantime — a printed report, a file in another format, or one of us doing it with you on the telephone — we will do that first and fix the software afterwards.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will change the date at the top and note what changed. This is version 1.

September 9, 2026: We corrected broad claims about skip links, contrast, keyboard access, and reduced motion, clarified the text-size limitation, and updated the description of Analytics settings in the demonstration. These are corrections to this notice, not a claim that the remaining accessibility limitations have been fixed. Our support promise is unchanged.
